Ref: Samsung Acclaim SD card, format Samsung Acclaim SD card
The Samsung Acclaim is the newest Samsung phone on the market. A friend just bought a Samsung Acclaim, he wanted to re-use the SD card which was used on his previous phone, so format the SD card is necessary. He didn’t know the way and asked me for help. I found the steps from the Acclaim user guide book. Since I don’t have a Samsung Acclaim myself, I am not sure if it works well, anyway, you may try it and see what happens. Feel free to leave us a comment if the tips help!
To format SD card, from Home screen à settings à SD card & phone storage Settings, find Unmount SD card and touch it. this option frees the Memory card you have installed in your previous phone so that you can remove it. then touch Format SD card, which prepare the Memory card for installation new data.
Please remember to backup important data in the SD card before formatting, as all data will be erased after you perform a format.
