To keep the Samsung Epic 4G and the information it holds secure, users can create their own personal unlock pattern for the phone. The pattern can be anything – but it must connect at least four dots.
To set up unlock pattern on Samsung Epic 4G
1.Touch the Applications tab and go to Settings > Location and Security > Set Unlock Pattern.
2.An instruction screen will display. Read and touch Next.
3.The screen will show a sample pattern being drawn. Press Next to draw an unlock pattern.
4.Draw the pattern on the screen provided. To draw it over, touch Retry. If happy with the pattern, touch Continue.
5.Draw the same pattern again.
6.Touch Confirm. The pattern is now set
