Follow these instructions to set your Samsung Galaxy S 4G Tethering:
Step 1. Press

Step 4. Select Wireless and network.
Step 5. Select Tethering.
Step 6. Plug in the USB cable between your computer and your Samsung Galaxy S 4G.
Step 7. When prompted for a USB mode, press
to exit the menu.
Step 8. Tap USB tethering from the Tethering menu. This places a green check mark next to the entry and activates the feature. A Tethering or Hotspot active notification briefly appears on the screen.
Look for the Tethering active icon
in the Status bar area of the screen.
If you want to disconnect tethering, try these steps:
Step 1. Press

Step 4. Select Wireless and network.
Step 5. Select Tethering.
Step 6. Tap USB tethering from the Tethering menu to remove the check mark and deactivate the feature.
Step 7. Remove the USB cable from your Samsung Galaxy S 4G.
