Tip #1: Customizing the Samsung Gravity T Command Bar
To customize the Samsung Gravity T Command Bar, first slide the phone open. The screen will show the Command Bar and a Settings soft key. Touch Settings > Tap to Add, then touch the desired feature from the options presented. Repeat for the other commands.
Tip #2: Unlocking the Phone with the QWERTY Keyboard
You can unlock the phone through Smart Unlock, or they can simply slide open the QWERTY keyboard. Samsung Gravity T
Tip #3: Activating Etiquette Pause
To turn on the Etiquette Pause feature, go to Menu > Settings > Motion Settings > Etiquette Pause > On > Save.
Tip #4: Opening the Widget Bar
To open the Samsung Gravity T Widget Bar, touch the folder tab on the left-hand side of the phone screen. To close it, touch it again.
Tip #5: Placing Widgets on the Scrolling Home Screen
You can rearrange widgets on the Widget Bar, and can also place widgets anywhere on one of the three scrolling Home screens.
To move Samsung Gravity T widgets around on the Widget Bar, first open the folder tab on the left-hand side of the phone screen. Touch and hold the widget to be moved, and drag it onto the Home screen. Immediately drag it back to its new position on the bar and release.
To move the widget to any of the three Home screens, open the Widget Bar, touch the widget, and drag it to the desired location on the screen. Users can easily navigate between the screens by sliding their finger across the three lines at the top of the screen.
Tip #6: Setting up Multitasking on Samsung Gravity T
With the multitasking feature, users can listen to music while utilizing many of the phone’s other applications and functions. To activate, go to Menu > Music Player > Settings. Touch On below Background Settings. This will enable the user to listen to music while using other applications.
Tip #7: Web Zoom
To zoom in and out of a web page, touch the screen and hold – then scroll up and down to zoom in and out.
Tip #8: Switching to Left-Handed “One-hand Operation”
Left-handed: You can change the phone’s one-handed operation setting to work with left hand. Go to Menu > Settings > Application Settings > Contacts > One-handed Operation > Left Handed > Save.
Tip #9: Setting the Phone to Vibrate short cart
When the phone is open, press and hold the Space key to set the phone to vibrate.
Tip #10: Creating a Slideshow
select Menu > Photos > More > Custom Slideshow. Touch the images to be included, then Create.
Tip #11: Setting up an Email Signature
You can set up an email signature to be included in all of their outgoing emails. Go to Menu > Messaging > Messaging Settings > Email > Sending Options. Touch the drop down under Add Signature. Choose either New Emails or All Emails. Press Save.
Tip #12: Editing Photos
When viewing photos or after taking a photo with the camera, users can immediately edit the photo and even add text. To edit a photo that’s been taken with the camera:
Activate the camera by pressing the Camera key on the side of the phone.
Press the Camera key again to take a picture.
Select More > Edit > Effects.
Choose to resize the image, insert text, and more.
Press Save when finished.
